Dr. Wallach's Recommendations
If you would like to take the Majestic Earth Colloidal Mineral* Supplements strictly according to Dr. Wallach's recommendations, you will want to take them with Dr. Wallach's Pig Pack. Many people assume that the Pig Pack is exclusively for people who suffer from arthritis, but this is not accurate. Although the Pig Pack is especially effective with muscular- skeletal diseases such as arthritis, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia**, it is meant to be a prevention and treatment measure for ANY disease. This is because the arthritis formula is simply a means of getting all 90 essential nutrients in your diet every day. Dr. Wallach's theory, in a nutshell, is that if you provide the body with all the nutrients it requires, with a full shelf of ingredients, it then becomes optimally able to heal itself and to prevent the onset of disease in the first place.
There are two ways you can take the Pig Pack. If you are taking it to remedy an already existing health challenge you should take the saturation dose. The saturation dose requires that a person takes one ounce of Majestic Earth Minerals and one ounce of Majestic Earth Ultimate with a tall, dilute glass of calcium enriched orange juice and four capsules of GlucoGEL, twice a day: once in the morning following breakfast and again in the evening following dinner. If you would like to save some money you can take the Pig Pack using only the Majestic Earth Minerals supplement (i.e. take 2 ounces of M.E. Minerals, twice per day). However, if you do this, be aware that it becomes your responsibility to get the amino acids and vitamins you need from your diet or by using other, quality supplements. Dr. Wallach recommends that, in order to make up for then mineral deficiencies that most people do have, it is necessary to take the saturation dose for at least 60 to 90 days. After you have saturated for the appropriate length of time, Dr. Wallach recommends that you then switch to the maintenance dose. The maintenance requires that a person takes one ounce of the Majestic Earth Mineral supplement per hundred pounds of body weight, per day.
If you are already healthy and are taking the Pig Pack as a prevention measure, you have a choice. If you want to make sure you compensate for the mineral deficiencies you, in all likelihood, do have, you should start off taking the saturation dose and then graduate to the maintenance dose. This is Dr. Wallach's recommendation. Your second option (which will allow you to save some money) is to start right off taking the maintenance dose.
One final bit of advice: the Pig Pack gives you 87 of the 90 essential nutrients you need each day. The only three missing are the essential fatty acids. These were not included in the formula because they would cause the mixture to congeal to the point that it would be difficult to take in. You can get the essential fatty acids either by taking Dr. Wallach's "E.F.A." product or by buying flax seed oil or fish capsules at your local health food store or, if you prefer, they can be obtained in your diet by eating red fish such as salmon, certain legumes and most nuts and seeds. If you decide to use flax seed oil be sure to purchase "cold pressed" flax seed oil capsules from the refrigerated section and to refrigerate them at home (flax seed oil tends to go rancid if not refrigerated).
*Whenever the term "colloidal minerals" is used in association with Dr. Joel Wallach or his famous audio tape Dead Doctors Don't Lie, it is important to note that Dr. Joel Wallach is referring to organic colloidal minerals.
